| Abstract | This study presents the ways and means of the detailed design, and construction on the on-going 2,000,000BBLS FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage, and Off-Ioading Unit) installed in the AKPO field ('AKPO FPSO'), offshore Nigeria with a close outlook over the offshore market, especially in deepwater developments. First, we explain the overall process of the AKPO FPSO hull from the detailed design to the construction and contents of lesson-Iearn gotten from this FPSO hull in order to contribute the successful detailed design and construction of the future FPSO hull. Then, we describe some problems and their solutions during the detailed design and construction of the AKPO FPSO hull. Through this study, readers will roughly learn the detailed design and construction ofa FPSO hull. |
