Abstract Recently, the Development of Ship's CAD System has tended to unify the hull structure CAD model and outfitting CAD model. Moreover, using the relationship with each models, It is forward to obtain more accurate and rapid CAD model conveniently. In this study, based on the 3D hull structure CAD model. the modeling method of generating 3D Pipe CAD model rapidly from the input data(P&ID, pipe and instrument diagram) is suggested. And next, these pipe model data are converted automatically into objects having relationship with hull structure. As a result, it was shown that 3D pipe CAD models which are generated by the rapid modeling method were changed simultaneously through modification of hull structure. Therefore, the modeling method on this study can be expected to apply practically to editing design and parametric design.
