| Abstract | The motions of the floating crane and the load are influenced each other by the wire rope. Multibody dynamics is a kind of the field which describes the motion of several bodies connecting by joints or spring. This paper derives the equations of motions based on multibody dynamics. It is considered that the crane has 6 degree of freedom(DOF), and the load has 3 DOF. And the applied force is consist of hydrostatic force, hydrodynamics force, wire rope force, wave excitation force, and etc. Especially nonlinear hydrostatic force is calculated by the derivate of restoring force and moment at each time. The motion of the floating crane and tension of wire rope is simulated using the equation we derive. |
